Pinewood Derby 2009

Pack 225 held its annual Pinewood Derby March 14th.
The dad's (Akela's) race was Friday night, and the boys raced on Saturday.
Ryan's car did very well, winning all of it's races. In fact, DragonFire 2 won both the top honor in the Pack and Den standings. This years' competition was quite a bit closer than last year. The difference was less than a second over all eight races combined times.

I'll have pictures to share after the flood. Right now the pictures are packed away on the other computer, which went with Mary to a safe place during the flood.

Todd's car also won top honors for the Akela's race. 2009 marked the first year of the traveling trophy for the Akela race.

2009 marked another successful (and fun, too!) year of racing. We expect that next year will be even more competitive.
